I'm transferring my job because of all the drama, gossip, backstabbing and utter BS on my job. I'm a high-level manager. The place I'm leaving will burn to the ground without me in the picture. I'm leaving this job because one of my employees with a history of spine factures was made to pull 2200 lb objects around by higher up manager. When I defended this person and told the higher up manager to never make them him do this task again, I got berated and was picked apart like I did something wrong. This higher up manager has known this employee for 20 years and claims to be their friend even though he used him as a human shield disregarding his previous injuries. All I did was the right thing for my employee. This employee taught me to do my job and is a 36-year veteran with the company, now working part time while he works 60-70 hours per week someplace else. He was my mentor, friend and employee. I love this man like real family. Now I'm going someplace else, and I pray to God that this man follows me there for my sanity. In the real world, you really can't trust anyone. People are worse than animals. So dishonest. All out for themselves. No honor. They don't care who they hurt or disable. What lives they ruin doesn't matter to them. When you stand up for what is right, they will nail to a cross. It's time us good people come together and hold their feet to the fire.
